Our Open Science Approach
Still Know Little Science (SKLS) Publisher supports open science as a practical framework for improving access, transparency, reproducibility, collaboration, and public value in research. Open practices should be implemented in ways that protect participants, respect ethical approvals, comply with law, and recognize legitimate restrictions on sensitive or protected information.
Open Access
SKLS makes published scholarly articles freely accessible online immediately upon publication and uses clear licensing terms to support responsible reuse.
Research Data
Authors should make the data necessary to understand and evaluate the published findings available whenever this is ethically and legally possible. Appropriate repositories and clear Data Availability Statements are encouraged.
Preprints
SKLS supports responsible preprint dissemination. Posting a manuscript as a preprint before or during journal submission does not, by itself, constitute prior publication unless a journal-specific policy states otherwise.
Authors should disclose relevant preprints at submission and should update the preprint record with a link to the final published article when possible.
Transparency and Reproducibility
Authors are expected to report methods, analyses, materials, ethical approvals, funding, competing interests, and other information with sufficient transparency to permit informed evaluation of the research.
Equity and Inclusion
SKLS aims to reduce unnecessary financial and structural barriers to publishing. Publication charges, where applicable, should be transparent, and waiver or discount mechanisms may be available under the relevant journal policy.
