SKLS Publisher supports immediate and permanent access to published scholarly research without subscription barriers.
Immediate Open Access
Articles published by Still Know Little Science (SKLS) Publisher are made freely available online immediately upon publication. Readers are not required to pay subscription or access fees to read or download open-access article content.
Creative Commons Licensing
Unless a published item clearly states otherwise because of third-party rights or another legally applicable restriction, SKLS scholarly articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0).
The CC BY 4.0 license permits sharing and adaptation, including commercial reuse, provided appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source, a link to the license is provided, and any changes are indicated.
Copyright and Author Rights
Authors retain copyright in their work unless a specific agreement states otherwise. By publishing with SKLS, authors grant the publisher the rights necessary to publish, distribute, preserve, identify, and disseminate the article in accordance with the applicable publishing agreement and license.
Reuse and Attribution
Users may read, download, copy, distribute, link to, text mine, data mine, adapt, and otherwise reuse CC BY-licensed content subject to the attribution requirements of the license and any rights that apply to third-party material.
Third-Party Material
Figures, images, tables, datasets, or other material supplied by third parties may be subject to separate copyright or licensing terms. Where such material is not covered by the article's Creative Commons license, users are responsible for obtaining any permission required for reuse.
Article Processing Charges
Any article processing charge or other publication fee must be communicated transparently before publication. Editorial decisions must not be determined by an author's ability to pay a publication charge.
Waivers or discounts may be available according to the applicable journal policy and the author's circumstances.
Self-Archiving and Sharing
Authors may share and deposit their published open-access articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, academic networks, and other lawful scholarly platforms, provided the published source is appropriately acknowledged and the applicable license is preserved.
Archiving and Discoverability
SKLS organizes published content using journal, issue, article type, authorship metadata, keywords, publication dates, citation information, and persistent identifiers where available. The publisher continues to develop infrastructure for metadata distribution, indexing readiness, preservation, citation export, and long-term discoverability.
